Coastal Cleanup and Plogging Conducted at Daegwang Beach on Imja Island, Shinan

On November 2, the GOING conducted a coastal cleanup and plogging activity at Daegwang Beach on Imja Island, Shinan-gun. This initiative was organized as part of ongoing efforts for marine environmental conservation and carbon neutrality practice.

Members of GOING actively participated on-site. Participants collected household waste and discarded fishing gear washed ashore on the beach, directly inspecting the current state of marine pollution.

The cleanup activity was carried out across the Daegwang Beach area. The participants shared insights on the vital necessity of protecting marine ecosystems and the importance of localized environmental action.

The GOING plans to continuously expand its field-participatory environmental conservation activities and sustain its climate response practices in connection with local communities.
