CEO Message
"In an era where sustainability drives economic value,
I want to build a world where youth can achieve success through tackling the climate crisis."
“I can no longer tolerate our summers getting hotter.”
“Yet, I cannot give up on my personal success either.”
These two thoughts are the very reason the Green Organization for Inovative Next Generation (GOING) was born, and they reflect the exact dilemma I faced as its leader.
The climate crisis is undeniably a problem we must solve.
However, at the same time, many youths are confronted with real-world struggles.
Even those with a deep interest in climate issues struggle to see how they connect to actual industries, what specific skills are required, and how these interests can translate into viable careers.
Too often, we have watched passionate, environmentally conscious youth compromise with reality and drift away to other fields when faced with the job market.
Now, the youth have to truly understand the climate industry and its markets.
Yet, previous youth activities—mostly centered on short-term campaigns, volunteering, and projects—have fallen short of providing sufficient opportunities.
GOING supports young leaders in understanding and actively participating in climate and industrial transitions,
building the practical capabilities to accelerate change and creating pathways for sustainable growth.
Our goal is to cultivate the next generation of climate leaders and make a tangible contribution to accelerating the climate transition.
I hope more young people will come to see the climate crisis not through the lens of anxiety and sacrifice,
but as a realm of new possibilities and meaningful challenge.
Ingi Jung, CEO of GOING
